Keith Morrison
We have been served by the Rev. S. Keith Morrison since July of 2002. Keith came to us
after nearly two years at Hemphill Presbyterian Church in Stockbridge, GA. He completed
his seminary training in May of 2000 at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA
and continued his preparation for ministry by completing a residency in Clinical Pastor
Education at Children's Hospital-Scottish Rite, in Atlanta.
While his coming to serve us was a new thing for us, he was in fact coming home when he
and his family moved from Decatur to our manse. Keith, Christina and Scott were active
charter members of MorningStar Presbyterian Church in Matthews and worshipped there
before leaving to go to Decatur in 1997.
Keith's mid-life call to full-time ministry give him a unique outlook on life in the church. He
has both his own life a member, deacon and elder to guide him, and his sense of God'
direction through the Holy Spirit today as a resource. He puts pastoral care for all the
participants in our church's life a the top of his priority list.
Prior to his call to ministry, Keith had several careers. He spent seven years in Education
as teacher and administrator, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts
degree. He also spent seventeen years in the insurance industry as an underwriter and
sales representative. Keith traveled both North and South Carolina for over eleven years.
Keith and Christina have been married for over thirty years and attribute both their
meeting and their survival as a couple to the work of God's Spirit. They have three grown
children, Tante, Brian and Scott, and one grandson - Tommy. They are also blessed with
two wonderful daughters-in-law, Amanda-wife of Brian, and Linsey-wife of Scott.
